Free cab rides for English speakers

thinkSPAIN , Friday, November 21, 2008
If you are going to be in Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Bilbao, Valencia or Santiago de Compostela between now and December 13th, keep an eye out for one of five authentic black London cabs plastered in adverts for a well-known brand of gin.

Why? Because, for the four days the cabs are in each of the cities, anyone able to hold a conversation in English will travel for free if the cost of the journey is less than a tenner (pounds).

It is part of an ongoing campaign by the company’s marketing agency to ‘Londonise’ Spain.

Other stunts undertaken over the last two years include, an ‘Ascot Day’ at the Zarzuela Hippodrome, a ‘mini’ London Fashion Week, outdoor street markets, and a 30th Anniversary of Punk party at which the guest of honour was the movement’s founder, Malcom McLaren.

  1. I have seen this on the news last week. Well wait to see one and to travel for free!

Another thing, Marisa, can you upload your Powerpoint slides of Memos (about tips for writing them) and Meetings (that one of useful sentences to say during a meeting you did), please??
